THANKS FROM ANIMAL RESCUE
Last week, 5FM brought the Girls' Night Out with Sureshnie to Cape Town and we chose the Animal Rescue Organisation in Cape Town as our charity for the evening. We all had a blast and got to collect some goodies for charity at the same time.
Here's a message we received from Animal Rescue:
Thanks so much from us all - we had a wonderful time at the CTICC. We collected a huge pile of goods ~ dog foods, cat foods, blankets, toys and more ~ via the 5FM Girls' Night Out event on Friday and would like to extend our sincerest thanks to you all for this amazing support of our work. We depend entirely on public support, so it is really wonderful to be associated with 5FM and listeners.
Many thanks again from us all at the Animal Rescue Organisation.
Best,
Karen de Klerk

Stop K9 Holocaust
Stop the killing of innocent dogs, and then dumping the carcasses at the municipal dumping grounds uncovered, as it is inhumane and creates a safety risk for the people living in the rural area. We attempted to contact the authorities as well as the local SPCA. However, to great disappointment, the killing and dumping continues on a weekly period. We've been to the dumping yard once a week for the past month, every time to find, that more dogs have been dumped. If anyone can assist us in this matter, it will be greatly appreciated. We need your help urgently here in Orkney - North West Province.
