Voetsek! is a festival which raises funds for Husky Rescue (http://www.huskyrescue.co.za/) and Wet Nose Animal Rescue (http://www.wetnose.org.za/).
Both of these charities work as rescue operations: they save abandoned and abused animals, rehabilitate and re-home them.

Voetsek! 2010 was a great success, and we raised R5000 per charity with the help of a host of bands* that performed free of charge at Cool Runnings Fourways. Chris Norwood (Smack Entertainment) handled the amazing sound and lighting and Jacques van Straten of MK Rockspaaider was our MC for the night.

Voetsek! 2010 saw an attendance of 200+, where we only used Facebook, a youtube link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNlly9NpSaU) and word of mouth to advertise.
Our goal for 2011 is to raise at least R10 000 per charity. In order for us to achieve this, we will be expanding our advertising and PR avenues and we'll be looking at leaflets, a website, PR, Radio Interviews and MK.
We already have Wilma Smit on board. She is an MK Flash Presenter, Rockspaaider Field Presenter as well as the Studio 1 Production Manager.

In order for Voetsek! to be all we envisioned it to be - one of Jozi's main fundraising festivals, and a fixed income for these charities, we'll need even bigger bands to play in order to secure greater attendance!

So - we need companies like you to sponsor Voetsek! (please). Monetary donations will go towards paying a headline band, sound & lighting, refreshments & food for bands that play free of charge, advertising, print and online media costs as well as food for the animals in need.

As a company who agrees to lend a hand to this initiative, you will see your logo displayed on all print media and everything we do on line. You will also be mentioned in any interview we do.
