This year was an awesome one in terms of cool gadgets, slick tools and creative gaming. These are our Top 10 Must Haves…tough decisions were made and yes we may have left out some pretty obvious gadgets but it is a Top 10.
These beauties rocked our world and with festive times around
the corner perhaps you’ll find some inspiration to rock someone else’s
world.
Better yet – you could be rocking out with a PSP courtesy of Sony Playstation…. check out the details below on how to win!
Here are the hottest Must Haves, in no particular order – they’re all cool.

Apple iPhone 3G
If you haven’t seen or heard about the iPhone then you’ve probably been living under a rock. Apple’s hot, cool, sexy, chic mobile phone has been the talk of the town. Better still, South Africans can actually buy the latest 3G iPhone…. legally. No more smuggling and hacking…so toss your old iBrick and get the real deal.

Sony PSP
This is the Big Daddy of slick, cool, on the move gaming and mobile entertainment, it’s available in black, white and pink and is uber-portable. Release your frustration while waiting for the bank manager by kicking some butt in WWE Smackdown or test your mental capacity with Brain Bender or just chill and watch a movie.

Nintendo Wii
When Wii launched it was refreshing to see that someone had taken the couch out of gaming. Bad golfers can now practise (hide) in the comfort of their own homes. The usual reclined thumb-numbing game action has made way for 80s style tennis tournaments, complete with wigs, sweatbands and tiny tennis outfits.

Microsoft Xbox360
Yet another monster gaming console on our list, the addition of the Xbox LIVE broadband gaming service has taken gaming and home entertainment even further. Skop and skiet with the popular ‘Gears of War’ or wrap your ‘Lips’ around the latest music offering (everyone loves to sing.)

ShoX mini speaker
Ridiculously inexpensive and ridiculously small; about 5cm x 5cm when fully extended to enhance the bass. The ShoX mini speaker rocks. You can plug the speaker directly into your laptop, iPod, PSP or similar plus if you buy an extra small connection you can listen to tunes on your cell phone. It charges using a USB port so there’s no need to mess around with batteries and it brings big sound for such a small unit.

MacBook Air
Apple hit the ultimate high in mind-blowing design yet again with what is quite possibly the hottest looking laptop ever. The sleek, sexy awe-inspiring design of the MacBook Air astonished most of us and apart from being the most stylish portable office it’s also thin enough to slip into an envelope, cut cake, use as an expensive Frisbee or slice cheese.

Nintendo DS Lite
This small and stylish gaming console packs a real punch and is the perfect addition to any handbag, we chose the pink one on purpose…. but don’t worry boys, the DS Lite is available in 6 other colours. Wave goodbye to boring plane journeys, road trips and long queues and instead take the time to Train your Brain while waiting at home affairs or the vehicle-licensing department.

Limited edition ghd IV purple styler
Ok so this is girly (well, unless you’re a big haired dude.) ghd ceramic styling irons have become the ultimate fashion must have and have saved many of us from bed head / bird’s nest or messy beehive disasters. They’ve just launched the ghd IV limited edition purple gift set – styler, clips and travel hairdryer all in pimping purple. Nice.

Guitar Hero
People have played this until their fingers have disintegrated and they’ve been hospitalised for arm cramps. Never before have we seen a game with such widespread appeal…. at one stage it was everywhere; even featured on South Park. Guitar Hero achieved the unthinkable, it made the 80s closet rocker socially acceptable and has bred a whole new generation of ‘cool’ air guitarists.

Sony Playstation 3
It’s not a game anymore…the new 80gig PLAYSTATION®3 console with dual shock control, wireless controller and internet ready wi-fi is one mean gaming machine. The Playstation Network enables online gaming so you can immerse yourself in the multi-player modes of GTA IV or warble with a fellow Mariah Scarey in a Singstar duet.
We’ve giving away an awesome PSP courtesy of Sony.

My friends and I have spent many a night just chilling and playing the Wii. It is a safe, fun and creative way to enjoy a Friday night with great friends and Wiicked company.

now the PSP: nice to look at nice to hold, don't ever break it, but consider it sold. mini discs for DVD style movies on the go, a good processor and expandable memory, if you're good enough you can use it to hack in to unsecure wi-fi networks and surf the net for free... these little babies rock. awesome size and multifunctional, play games, watch movies and works like a mobile MP3 player... and i used to want a game boy...

ok, so as a phone, it may not be better than most other mobiles - but it has ignited a new era in mobile computing.
there are already over 10,000 free and commercial applications available for download, so clearly apple have done something right.
But remember, this is still an early generation phone. With upcoming competition from Google's Android phone platforms, things are going to get even more exciting next year!!

As a single mom, it would really get things going with my new small business at home. And I'd still have time for my baby. Oh how I wish!
No more trips to the local centre for the internet and typing out documents, like I'm doing now.
