Hey ya BV'ilians,
Shit it's been a while since I have had anything worthwhile and decent to post about. Actually, there's loads of news just me being to lazy to sit here and type it out. Recently I simply prefer sitting back and reading what others has to say or think.
Anyhow, let's get the update started. Ok, so we are still in Namibia and trying to get our asses back to South Africa. Its taken quite some scheming and work to get to the point we are now. We will be moving back to SA (Durban) around middle April this year. If I could find the words to explain the relief we feel I would most certainly be using it here. As the saying goes "there's no place like home", it's very much true. Having a holiday in a place and living isn't the same. It's been good though, I am back in medicine. More importantly I am back to practising Emergency Medicine. Things improved a little a few months ago when we figured out how to get 5fm on DSTV! It must be one of the biggest things I missed living here. The Namibian radio stations suck! The "no1 hit station in Namibia" plays more music from the 60's than anything else! Not for much longer though.
On a personal side, my wife (SB25) is pregnant! Yep, we will be parents this year! We are just over 3 months with everything going well. The development of the baby is going with no current issues being foreseen. Unfortunately with the female's immune system being suppressed during pregnancy, she's got a terrible cold which we are trying to get sorted. That's also one of the main reasons we need to get our asses back to SA. Family would be an amazing support base during the pregnancy. Included in that the fact that it's the 1st grandchild on the side of my in laws, I don't want to have them to far removed from the experience. Then again, SB feels more comfy with the gynae in Durban since she's been with her for many years.
That's about it for now, as you can see nothing really interesting happens in Namibia since this is about 7months worth of news lol.
Anyhow, I will keep in touch and try and update everyone more regularly on what's happening in our lives and how the move is going.
Rgds
