5FM is excited to announce a few line-up changes that come into effect on 1 May 2017.  Listeners will be pleased to know they have brand-new drive time shows with Roger Goode and team taking over the reins for breakfast from 06:00 - 09:00 and Thando Thabethe and Msizi James commanding the afternoon drive spot, 15:00 - 18:00.

Roger will retain his team - and their high-octane energy - with Sureshnie Rider on news, Ms Cosmo on traffic and Robbie Kruse on sport. The afternoon drive show welcomes a brand-new member to 5FM, Durban-born Msizi James (who makes Johannesburg his new home), as Thando’s co-host alongside Sibs Matiyela on news and Duran Collett on sport on The Thabooty Drive.

Grant Nash, Programme Manager for 5FM says, “5FM has always promised to bring new music, new presenters and new innovative content to the youth of this country and this line-up change is no different. This is huge for Roger and Thando who are phenomenal presenters who listeners, clients and artists alike have fallen in love with over the years. Msizi is one of the freshest new talents around and I’m very excited for our new drive shows.”

Justin Toerien, Thando’s former co-host will move to co-host with Stephanie B from 22:00 – 01:00 Mondays to Thursdays as well as take over weekend breakfast from 07:00-10:00 alongside Nadia Romanos on news and Jude van Wyk on sport.

Nick Hamman's Hamman Time moves to a new time slot, 09:00 - 12:00, and the show gains Carmen Reddy on news, while The Forbes and Fix Show moves to 12:00 - 15:00 with Kim Schulze on news.

5FM introduces a new Ultimix feature from 18:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday with the Weekender5.  The Ultimix by The Weekender5 will feature DJ Loyd on Mondays, Kyle Cassim on Tuesdays, Ms Cosmo on Wednesdays, Das Kapital on Thursdays and a Legends mix on Fridays.
