Nutty joined 5FM in February 2023.

He is a high-octane radio host, music pro and record label owner who started in campus radio and later moved to commercial youth radio, ultimately very successfully heading up the music department.

He started creating tunes at the age of just 17 and has since released 3 albums, 2 compilations and over 50 singles. His career highlights include winning the remixer of the year award at the 16^th South African Music Awards, having one of his songs, “Umdali”, remixed by the iconic UK producer / DJ, Charles Webster, doing a remix for one of his favourite UK labels, Freerange Records, and interviewing the likes of the late Mam Sibongile Khumalo, Jazzanova, Dj Spinna, Nkemdi Amadiume, Zoe Modiga, Erykah Badu and DJs At Work.

If you had to sum up yourself in 10 seconds, what would you say?

I’m a doting Dad, loving husband, cool big brother and a music addict.

Where were you born and raised?

Born in Sharpeville and raised in Sebokeng.

In which towns have you lived and where are you living currently?

I’ve lived in Sebokeng and Vanderbijlpark and now based in Radiokop.

Which languages can you speak?

Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho, Tswana, English.

What are your favourite towns or cities visited in SA and abroad?

Hoi-An in Vietnam. I recently visited Magoeba’s Kloof for the first time, what a beautiful place. I love it.

What are your hobbies?

Travelling, playing TV games with my son, coding.

What is the craziest thing you’ve done?

There is NO WAY I’m telling you that, LOL!

Which things would you most want to learn to do?

I MUST learn how to cut a perfect fade. I’ve tried a few times on my son and the results were not so great!

Time-travelling

Which causes are you really passionate about?

Inclusivity and education.

What are the top things on your bucket list?

I’d love to see the northern lights one day/

I really hate crime stories based on actual events.

Getting to share awesome, brand new music with the listener on a weekly basis.
