Join the party on March 2
Get behind the Fly the Flag campaign. Get excited about being a 2010 FIFA World Cup host. Make sure you join the nation on March 2 at midday to sing the National Anthem, blow a vuvuzela, and do the Diski. Give this event editorial space. And report on the event once it’s over to keep the momentum and the excitement going. Be positive. Be enthusiastic. Be a fan.
 
Institute Football Fridays at your offices
Encourage South Africans to wear the shirt of their favorite football team to show their support for that team (it doesn’t matter if it’s Manchester United… not really) and for the FIFA World Cup. Lots of companies are doing this already. Join the movement. Encourage your audiences and your staff to, too.
 
Do the Diski Dance
The Diski Dance is lekker. It’s fun. It’s easy. It’s become a global movement and something of a cult. Just go google it to see people all over the world Diski-ing away in celebration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Learn the dance. Encourage others to learn it. How? SA Tourism will send a team to your offices to teach it to you and your colleagues.
