GI JOE KEEPS THE TOP SPOT WARM FOR DISTRICT 9

A week before the South African release of the much-anticipated “Soweto Sci-Fi” blockbuster, DISTRICT 9; GI JOE – THE RISE OF COBRA maintained its top position on the Ster-Kinekor weekend box-office chart (August 21-23). Hilarious new release, YEAR ONE (starring Jack Black and Michael Cera), debuted in the top half of the rankings. FAITH HAPPENS, the other new release on the Top 10, made its debut at #7 – a good opening, considering it only released at 21 cinemas nationally:
