I wouldn't consider the word taboo anymore when used by a white or black person provided it is used in the correct context. Perhaps we should also get over our own obsession with the K-Word in SA. There was a case in the news recently where a kid got stabbed when using it as a term of endearment. Forget we should forget our obsession with taboo words and rather listen to what a person is trying to say (e.g. Irvin Xhosa). The K-Word is just one of many derogatory names being banded about in SA and any other racial calcification can be just as derogatory if used in a particular way.
