A FIRST!

The first, star-studded MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain music and entertainment extravaganza will take place at the Velodrome, Abuja, Nigeria on Saturday 22 November 2008 in front of thousands of musicians, celebrities, media and music fans.

The awards show will take the form of a 2-hour TV spectacular on MTV base (DStv Channel 322) on 29 November, combining performances from top African and international stars with award presentations and an international superstar host.

THE ROAD TO MAMA TOUR

The Road to Mama is an out-of-this-world, all-star concert tour, visiting South Africa, the DRC, Kenya and Nigeria. The concerts are scheduled to take place in the two weeks prior to the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain. The tour hits Johannesburg’s Standard Bank Arena on Thursday 13 November.
