It's was 5FM's second Open Day on Friday, and selected applicants spent the day with us to see what goes down at 5FM in a day. Jaydee, Nabz, Spesh have blogged about their experiences.

Seven of the best scratch DJs in Africa prepare for high intensity 6 minute battles. Mixing, scratching, juggling and using everything in their skillset to amaze the audience and win over the discerning judges.

The winner not only takes home the 2009 trophy, but a brand new RANE TTM56s mixer, adidas gear a set of Aerial 7 headphones and also becomes MTV Africa (MTV Base) Scratch DJ for 2009. On top of all this, the new SA champ gets to represent South Africa in the DMC World Final in the UK.

This DJ battle is complimented by a line-up of the finest Hip Hop engineers in the business as well as the hottest B-Boys, legendary graffiti artists and car show. Get there early to assure your place for witnessing African music history in the making.
