TRACKLIST INCLUDES NEW SONGS FROM DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, THOM YORKE, THE KILLERS, PLUS NEW REMIX FROM MUSE;


Summit Entertainment, Chop Shop Records and Atlantic Records have announced the release of “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK,” the musical companion to the highly anticipated second installment in Summit’s film franchise.  Due in stores and online October 19th, the entire soundtrack features songs that will appear in the movie, highlighted by Death Cab for Cutie’s brand new single “Meet Me On the Equinox.” 

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON will open in theatres nationwide on November 27th. 
 
In just one week, “Meet Me On the Equinox” has already exploded onto the modern rock charts, landing at #26.  The song, which is the soundtrack’s first announced track, debuted in full on September 13th at MTV.com in conjunction with MTV’s Video Music Awards.  The video companion to the song, which was shot in Toronto by director Walter Robot, will premiere soon.   
 



In addition to Death Cab for Cutie, the soundtrack features songs from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, The Killers, Band of Skulls, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver & St. Vincent, Lykke Li, and Anya Marina.  Also included is a remix from Muse, who not only appeared on the original “TWILIGHT” soundtrack but is one of author Stephenie Meyer’s favorite bands.  Every recording featured on the soundtrack is exclusive to the soundtrack, either having never been released previously or as a remixed version.

The ten stadiums to be used in the 2010 World Cup will all be completed on time. YAY!

This was announced on Wednesday by the 2010 local organising committee's (LOC) chief competitions officer Derek Blanckensee after the LOC and soccer's world controlling body Fifa completed a week long inspection tour.

They are looking FANTASTIC. It's great to see that all the construction that has been going on for so long is coming to fruition - I bet most of us have driven past them so many times and not even noticed the progress.

The Black Eyed Peas performed on the Oprah Show recently in Chicago to celebrate the 24th season of her show. During the performance thousands of dancers launch into a choreographed dance routine. 

As CherryFlava says "To be honest – this wasn’t really a ‘flash mob’ in the true sense of the definition. It’s a pretty well-choreographed dance routine that just so happened to look spontaneous, but it’s cool to watch all the same."
