Gone in 60 seconds
How to sell your business FAST!
You have 60 seconds. Stop sweating and start selling! Here are some things to keep in mind to ensure you use your 60 seconds effectively:
- Be remembered for one thing. And this doesn't necessarily mean repeat your phone number twelve times. It means be remembered for one benefit you offer your clients. The one thing people need you for, the one problem you solve. People are strange, selfish creatures. They don't care about you if you don't offer them a benefit or a solution to their problems.
- Relax. Don't read a script. Talk about your business like you would discuss it with a friend.
- Don't be afraid to show personality! Your quirkiness, your sense of humour, your intense commitment helps you stand out.
- To call or not to call. That is the question. If your number is easily remembered, give it out. If not, refer people to your website and count the hits.
- Consider making an offer no-one can refuse. Something that's for a very limited time only. And something that's a REAL bargain. Not "5% off" more like "50% off".
- Start with a bang. Grab attention with your opening line.
- Don't rush through a whole whack of info. Slow down and be audible. Work on 2 words per second - so 120 words of info (although you won't be reading it promise).
