Johannesburg, Wednesday, 3 December 2025 – 5FM and the organisers of the Silver Linings Festival in Pretoria have announced that this Sunday’s event will be postponed due to adverse weather conditions, with a new date to be confirmed very soon.

The event forms part of 5FM’s Endless Summer campaign, which sees the station bringing the vibe to various hotspots across Mzansi, including Silver Linings in Pretoria, Dreaming out Loud in Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and Stanford Hills, Secrets of Summer in Cape Town and Up The Creek in Swellendam. The rest of the Endless Summer events remain unaffected.

While the Silver Linings team has been gearing up for an incredible Pretoria experience, the forecasted severe weather and related safety risks made it clear that moving the date is the most responsible option.

In their official statement, the organisers shared: “It is with deep regret that we must announce the postponement of this coming Sunday’s Silver Linings Festival. Due to the forecast of severe weather conditions and the potential risk to attendees, staff, stakeholders, and the overall experience, the decision has been made to postpone the festival to Q1 2026, tentatively between the end of February and March 2026. The confirmed new date will be finalised by the end of this week.”

As the festival’s media partner, 5FM supports the call and shares the organisers’ commitment to putting safety first.

Postponing now means we get to deliver the experience everyone deserves, with more time to build hype, spark excitement, and bring Pretoria an even bigger party when we return. As for all our other exciting events – Dreaming out Loud, Secrets of Summer and Up the Creek – it’s full steam ahead for an EPIC summer.”
