Johannesburg, Monday, 22 June 2026<\/strong> \u2013 5FM is turning up the volume at the 2026 Basadi in Music Awards with not one but two powerhouse nominations<\/strong>, celebrating the women who keep South African youth radio sharp, fresh and unapologetically loud.<\/p>\n

Boipelo Mooketsi<\/strong>, host of 5 After Hours<\/strong>, has been nominated for Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year<\/strong>, while Masego \u201cChresh\u201d Tlhakanye<\/strong>, the creative engine behind 5 Drive<\/strong>, has been nominated for Entertainment Radio Producer of the Year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Boipelo<\/strong>, who has spent nearly a decade shaping her voice and her impact on the airwaves, presents the super hot 5FM Vibe Check entertainment news podcast and now hosts your favourite late-night slot, says, \u201cI am deeply honoured and grateful for this nomination. For the past nine years, I have dedicated myself to growing as a broadcaster and serving my audience with passion, purpose, and authenticity. While recognition has never been the goal, moments like these are a meaningful reminder that the work matters, the voice is heard, and the impact is felt.
