Lumkani has developed a world first early warning fire detection system for use in urban informal settlements. The integrated system allows for warning alerts to be generated across multiple levels. It includes a ‘rate of rise’ temperature detector, is networked through radio frequency (RF) technology and incorporates integrated smart technology to send mobile text messages to community leadership around
the location of the fire.
